At XSE Academy we have been giving young people a voice through broadcasting since 2005.
Below you can listen to some of the shows produced by our young people.
What is being British
As you are probably aware that being British is a serious business, you can take a college course and learn to be British. The government has even introduced a exam and if you pass you get your own union jack. Confused? just have a listen to the show with Martha Mitchel and Hugh Thomas.

This week the One offs brings you Agony Aunt. If you are having relationship problems and don’t know where to turn or your just to embarrassed to talk about it then this feature may be for your.

We have developed our broadcast training to cater for a broad range of people.
We have a history of working with local authority, organisations, individuals and the broadcast industry.
Below is a list of some of our programmes.
SEN-D Radio
SEN-D is a broadcasting programme aimed at young people with additional needs. The 5 day programme takes the participants through all the steps needed to create a radio show.
Aimed at Organisations working with young people with SEN-D
Requirements a group of 6/8 young people.
One Off’s
One Off’s is a programme to creating a one off show.
Aimed at: Youth clubs and organisations working with groups of young people. We also work with community organisations with no age limit on the One Off’s. the programme is not time limited.
Requirements: There is no pre requisite to get on to the course just an interest and time commitment.
Podcast for broadcast
The course covers a range of skills tailored to your group. The options include learning to produce a podcast as a one off.
Develop your group skills to continue to produce with out support.
Aimed at: Organisations working with community groups.
Requirements: There is no pre requisite for this course, we work with your group on the podcast to produce a final product thats ready for your web site or distribution.
Post-Production
The course covers all aspects of digital audio and processing
Aimed at: Organisations working with groups, sound designers, audio editors, audio content producers.
Requirements: There is no pre requisite to get on to this course but you will need to have an interest and time commitment.
